Len Gasparini was born in Windsor, Ontario. He is
the author of numerous books of poetry, including his Selected
Poems and a collection for children, I
Once Had a Pet Praying Mantis.
Len Gasparini is the author of two story collections, Blind
Spot and A Demon in My View (Guernica
2003), and a work of nonfiction, Erase Me,
with photographs by Leslie Thomson. In 1990, he was awarded
the F. G. Bressani Literary Prize for poetry. He is one of the
true, authentic voices in Canadian poetry. A new edition, named
The Broken World, brings together for
the first time all of Len Gasparini’s
published books and chapbooks of poetry. There
are more than 200 poems in this volume. He lives in Toronto. |
