Marisa De Franceschi
was born in Muris (Udine), Italy. She came to Canada in 1948
and grew up in Windsor, Ontario, where she graduated from the University
of Windsor, and taught for a number of years. Her short stories,
articles, and book reviews have appeared in a variety of Canadian
publications, including Canadian Author & |

Bookmark and The
Mystery Review. Her work has appeared in a number
of anthologies and she has twice been the recipient of the
Okanagan Short Story
Award. Surface Tension was her first
novel. She has completed a second and is working on a third.
