Giuseppe Schincariol immigrated to Canada in 1966 from Morsano al Tagliamento, Friuli (in the province of Pordenone), Italy. He came to Windsor for work as a bricklayer. He worked for Essex Construction and later for Rino Pessotto Construction. Giuseppe began doing fretwork in 1979. He used to work every night, until 1995, when he stopped. Schincariol did jewellery boxes, serving trays, frames, the Eiffel Tower, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, and chandeliers.
