Sovran was a basketball player during 1971-1974. He scored
an average 13.0 points per game in 1971-1972. Sovran was
awarded
the Most Valuable Player of 1972. He received the "Olympic
Shield" (Male Athlete of the Year) in 1973-1974, O.Q.A.A.
Championship in 1972-73, LeBel Plaque for Most Outstanding
Player in O.Q.A.A. playoffs in 1972, and O.Q.A.A. All-Star
Team in 1974.
He was All-City Basketball player at Brennan High School, 1969-1970.
