The Windsor / Essex County Sports Hall of fame and Museum is
a non profit organization which annually elects inductees in
the field of sports excellence. Painted portraits recognize the
accomplishments of local individuals in the world of sport. African-Canadian
athletes, Rose Sangster-Daley, Charlie Stewart, Fred Thomas,
and Earl Walls are inductees and featured in the display.
The exhibit previously located at the Devonshire Mall has been removed due
to renovations and a new location has yet to be announced. A
poster which includes the 62
inductees to the Windsor/Essex County Sports
Hall of Fame from 1993 to 2002 has been produced. For updates on the
new location or for further information please see www.wecshof.org.
