Windsor and region has been the home of
several ‘firsts’ for African Canadians in the field of
law and law enforcement. From the example of these pioneers in the
field many have followed in their footsteps to become leaders in the
community in as Police Officers, Lawyers and Judges.
This section contains profiles of three
individuals who were amongst the earliest African Canadians to serve
their communities as officers of the law in this region.
To be appointed as a judge in a court of
law is a highlight for select members of the legal profession. We have
profiled two such successful individuals.
