Organizations within the African Canadian community have played a vital role in the development of the community as a whole. From the early abolitionist movement to the activist groups of the modern era organizations have helped promote the rights and freedoms of Canadian citizens. Organizations are also crucial to the vital arts, cultural and social life of the community. Many of the organizations listed below have also been key supporters of charitable causes in Windsor and region.
