Mr. Davis stepped down as
Chairperson in 2004 but continues to be very active in both the Caucus
and the
community. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the African
Canadian Community Centre of Windsor and Essex County and recently
organized the A.C.C.C. “Fight Night at the Caboto” event
held August 11, 2005. Rodney Davis is the acting President of the
Windsor and District Black Coalition.
He is also Vice President of the Board of Directors of New Beginnings
a residential rehabilitation program for young offenders. New Beginnings
also operates two group homes for boys and girls through the Children’s
Aid Society. Phoenix Garden Project is a new and exciting summer
project for at risk youth.
Mr. Davis is also the Founder of Sister to Sister - Think W.I.S.E.
Sister to Sister is an organization led by women of colour who
gather to support and mentor young women in the area. He is also
a former
Board Member of the North American Black Historical Museum.
